Back when I started my blog in 2009 and then joined Instagram in 2013, the sewing and quilting online world was much smaller. It has been a delight to see sewing and quilting reach so many people over the course of the last decade, but it also means that it has been much harder to make connections on a more personal level.

For a couple years we lived in a small, remote community in New Mexico. During that time I had regular sew days at my house. People would bring their sewing machines, we’d drink tea and coffee, and sometimes we’d all work on learning something new, and other days we’d just make our own projects and chat. The Clover & Violet Sewing Club will be just that, a virtual sew day every day!
